Livro com folhas de papel vegetal muito fino, algumas rasgadas e dobradas. Só o índice, no final do livro, é que é feito com papel opaco de gramagem superior e, por norma, encontra-se em melhores condições de manuseamento. No papel vegetal, o conteúdo por norma datilografado, foi copiado com recurso a papel químico. Por deficiência de cópia, ou do químico, ou mesmo por influência do tempo, algumas folhas apresentam o conteúdo muito claro, sendo muito difícil, ou mesmo impossível ler. Por outro lado, algumas folhas apresentam o conteúdo muito borrado, dificultando a leitura do conteúdo do documento.
